The World Dances is back for its 45th edition, taking place from 15 to 26 July 2026. Recognised as one of the region's most renowned international celebrations of cultural diversity, the festival once again transforms the area into a vibrant stage for cultural exchange, bringing together dances, music, traditions and customs from around the world.
Unique performances where all participating international groups come together to showcase their dances, music and traditions, creating a vibrant celebration of cultures, colours and rhythms.
The Nations Galas will take place in:
A special event dedicated to Portuguese folk groups, showcasing the rich musical and dance traditions of different regions of Portugal.

An evening dedicated to the musicians of the participating groups, highlighting their talent and encouraging interaction with the audience in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
📍 Santa Maria da Feira | 📅 23 July
Following the great success of its first edition last year, the Costume Parade returns to the festival programme. Participating groups will parade in their traditional attire, sharing the history, meaning and cultural significance behind each costume.

For twelve days, the world comes together once again in Santa Maria da Feira and its partner municipalities to celebrate cultural diversity, friendship between peoples, and the universal power of music and dance.

In this edition, we are honoured to welcome cultural representatives from 8 countries, bringing together a total of 11 groups who will share the rhythms, colours and stories of their traditions across the festival's various stages.
