World Dances is an international folk festival promoted by Casa da Gaia – Center of Culture, Sport and recreation of Argoncilhe. Apens every year by the 2nd half of July, and has as host the Folk Group of Terras da Feira – Casa da Gaia. Is one of the events of touristic animation most anticipated in County of Santa Maria da Feira. Is an event that counts with 500 participants. Usually count with the participation of 7 international groups and 6 national groups that comes from different places of Portugal. Lasts for 12 days. During this period a reasonable number of volunteers members and non members work hard to ensure that everything goes well and for the groups see World Dances as one of the best festivals for which they have passed. It’s considered one of the greatest festivals on north zone of the country. Covers 15 parishes, of the 31 that are part of the County of Santa Maria da Feira, and a reasonable number of neighboring counties. Is seen annually by 25.000 people.

Its programming consists of several galas, such as Opening Gala, National Gala and International Gala, besides the small galas that took place by all the county of Santa Maria da Feira and other counties. During this period are also conducted several workshops of dances, traditional games, theme parties and touristic visits.

World Dances is a mixture of cultures dominated by friendship, happiness and tradition.
